Quadpod User Instructions

At the commencement of your stalking session it is essential that you ensure you are carrying the sticks the right way up.  Sounds pretty basic I know, but many's the time I've found myself so engrossed with the stalk that at the vital moment of set up, the sticks have been upside down.

You will notice that www.midfieldandco.com is embossed on the front leg of each set of sticks.  If you can see this when carrying the sticks in the "short trail" position they are up the right way.

When you are walking in and generally scanning the area for a suitable subject, carry the sticks in the short trail position with both end caps on.  When you identify a positive target remove the bottom end cap and continue the stalk.  On reaching your chosen shooting position remove the top end cap, open the sticks, and allow the front legs to fall forward.  The legs will be restrained by the shock cords.

Set your rifle on the sticks with the front sling swivel "outside" the front legs, (see the pictures in Gallery tab).  Hold the "sticks and sling" with your front hand, do not hold the rifle, (again see Gallery tab pictures).  Take the shot when you are ready and it is safe to do so.  Immediately reload and watch the subject for a suitable period to ensure the shot has been successful.

Make your rifle safe and after cleaning any debris such as leaves, grass or mud from the sticks fold them up and apply end caps.

These instructions are my idea of the best way to use The Quadpod Stalking Sticks.  If you find a different method which suits you better that's fine.

And finally, I've been stalking with these sticks for many years and yet still practice using them at every available opportunity.  I use them on rabbits and other ground vermin so that when I do go stalking I am confident and comfortable with their use.

Once you've used The Quadpod you'll never change them.
